The Vogelbruch colliery is a former hard coal mine in Hattingen in the Oberstüter district . The mine was also known as the Vogelbruchbank colliery . The mine was located west of the Paasbach . The namesake for the mine came from the owners of the Vogelbruch farm, who also acted as trades of the union .

Mining history

From June to August of 1813 the mine was only in operation for a short time. In the following year, initially hard coal was mined , but in the course of the year the mine was closed within deadlines . That year 2810 ¾ Prussian tons of hard coal were mined. In 1845 the mine was put back into operation for a few years. The mining took place in the Gustav shaft of the United Wildenberg & Vogelbruch colliery. In 1850 the mine was initially still in operation, 21 tons of hard coal were extracted. During the year the Vogelbruch colliery was shut down. In October 1880 the Vogelbruch colliery consolidated into the Sprockhövel colliery . In 1912 the rest of the mine field was allocated to the Alte Haase colliery .
