The Mühlenbank colliery was a hard coal mine in Hattingen- Holthausen. The mine was also known as the Möllen Banck colliery .

Mining history

The mine was already in operation in 1739. In the years 1754 and 1755 the mine was closed in time limits , the reason for this was the lack of sales. There is evidence that the mine was in operation in 1758 and 1759. A length field was awarded on September 22nd, 1827 . In 1842 the mine was mentioned in the records of the Mining Authority. In 1867, 7540 bushels of hard coal were mined. At this point in time, the tunnel mouth hole of the mine was 80 meters east of the shaft of what would later become the Aurora colliery , at a height of + 100 m above sea level . In 1869, 122 tons and in the following year 110 tons of hard coal were mined. In 1874 there was already a ton-length shaft . This year 2078 tons of hard coal were mined. In the first two quarters of 1875 the mine was still in operation, 957 tons of hard coal were extracted. In the 3rd quarter of the same year, the Mühlenbank colliery was taken out of service. Later the rightful owner of the Alte Haase colliery was added.
