The Rastadt colliery was a mine in the Vormholz district of Witten . Little is reported about the mine. The mine belonged to the Märkisches Bergamts district and there to the Schlebusch jury area .

Mining history

A length field was awarded on May 23, 1844 . In the length field a seam with a thickness of 48 inches was approached, the coal height was 40 pools . The seam had a mountain pack ten inches thick , so the coal of this seam was 38 inches thick. In 1855 the mine was demonstrably in operation. The mine was at that time by the St. John's Erbstollen solved , but was not yet in production. In 1858 the mine was initially still in operation. From the 2nd quarter of the same year, the Rastadt colliery was put into deadlines . It is not clear from the documents whether the mine was put back into operation and when it was shut down.
