The United Friedrich Wilhelm colliery is a former hard coal mine in what is now Wetter-Esborn . The colliery was also known under the name Zeche Flachsteich & Friedrich Wilhelm Erbstollen and Zeche Vereinigte Friedrich Wilhelm Erbstollen . The colliery was also just called the Friedrich Wilhelm colliery and arose from the consolidation of several independent collieries.
Mining history
On March 22, 1830, the Flachsteich , Vollmond, Regina , Radelbeck, Rabe and Friedrich Wilhelm Erbstolln collieries consolidated into the United Friedrich Wilhelm colliery. In the same year, mining was carried out at the Johannes shaft in the Flachsteich mine field . In 1833 the Post shaft was sunk . In 1835 the Post shaft was dismantled and the Erbstollen was driven further in the Strauss field . In 1839 only alignment and auxiliary work was done. In the following year, only the mine field was further aligned. In 1843 there was only minor dismantling and in August 1844 the United Friedrich Wilhelm colliery was shut down. On November 30, 1920, the United Friedrich Wilhelm colliery consolidated into the Alte Haase colliery .

The first known production figures from the mine date back to 1830, 11,478 bushels of hard coal were produced . In 1835, production fell slightly to 10,885 bushels of hard coal. The last known production figures of the mine are from 1844, in the year 1815 bushels of hard coal were produced.
