The United Neu-Hiddinghausen colliery was a mine in the Sprockhövel district of Hiddinghausen . In addition to hard coal , iron stone was also extracted from the mine.

Mining history

Mining began in 1849. From 1858, hard coal and coal iron stone were mined through a shaft in underground engineering . In 1867 160,856 tons of coal iron stone were mined. In 1868 both hard coal and coal iron were mined. The production was 20,834 tons of coal iron stone. In 1869 the mine was closed in time limits . In 1871, the 51 Lachter soles and the 72 Lachter soles were in operation. Only coal iron stone was mined that year. In 1873, hard coal was mined again in addition to coal iron. In the years 1874 and 1875, hard coal was mined in the fields of the Frischer Morgen and Vereinigte Schlebusch collieries . From 1875 the mine was out of operation for several years. In 1905 the mine was put back into operation. Coal iron stone and, in small quantities, bituminous coal were mined. The coal mined was used for land sales . The Voerster shaft of the United Trappe colliery was also used for the extraction . Since the ore deposit was no longer worth building , the United Neu-Hiddinghausen colliery was shut down in 1908.
