The Zehenmühle (also: Zehmühle and Zeh-Mühle ) in the street "In der Mordach 5" is a former mill in the municipality of Mühltal in the Hessian district of Darmstadt-Dieburg on the western edge of the Odenwald .

The toe mill is on a mill moat in the hamlet of In der Mordach .

History and description

The mill was probably built in 1703. The outbuildings of the mill have largely been preserved. The house was rebuilt in the manor house style in the 20th century .

Monument protection

In its structure and the shape of the outbuildings, the mill system still clearly shows the mill character. The remainder of the historical building fabric documents the economic and historical importance of the mill. For architectural, industrial, local and economic reasons, the building is a listed building .

Varia

Today the renovated mill is a purely residential building that is inhabited by the Hoffie family.
