The Ovazemba , also OvaZemba ( singular Omuzemba ), are an indigenous people in Namibia . From the state side they are not considered indigenous in Namibia , unlike z. B. the Ovatue recognized. Nor do they provide their own traditional leader .

The Ovazemba, like the Himba, still live partly as nomadic hunters and gatherers . Their traditional settlement area is around Ruacana in northwestern Namibia . The women of the Ovazemba have a unique all-black hair style . The hair is adorned with small pearls in white, red, blue and yellow.

The Ovazemba are more closely related to the Himba than the Ovatjimba and Ovatue . They are considered to be one of the most marginalized groups in southern Africa .
