Zenonas Norkus

Zenonas Norkus (* 1958 in Griniai , Kelmė district ) is a Lithuanian philosopher and translator , professor .

Life

After graduation from 1965 to 1976 at the middle school Pakražantis at Kelmė graduated Norkus 1976-1981 the diploma study of philosophy and from 1981 to 1984, the postgraduate at the University of Leningrad . In 1984 he received his doctorate in philosophy on the philosophy of logic by Edmund Husserl . In 2002 he completed his habilitation on Weber on the subject of “ Maxas Weberis ir racionalus pasirinkimas” at the Institute for Social Research.

His research interests are philosophy of the social sciences and historiography, comparative historical sociology and the work of Max Weber . He teaches at the Department of Sociology at the Philosophy Faculty of Vilnius University .
