The company has subsidiaries in Poland , Hungary , Russia and the USA . In 2012, Zentis took over Sweet Ovations LLC and with it two further plants in the USA. Zentis jams and confectionery are produced exclusively in Germany at the headquarters in Aachen. Fruit preparations for the processing industry are manufactured at the foreign locations.
history
The company Zentis was founded in 1893 by Franz Zentis as a grocery and grocery store. The idea of mixing dried apricots and sugar to make a jam laid the foundation for economic success. Zentis was the first company to invent chocolate chips that do not dissolve in yogurt . This is how stracciatella yoghurt was created for the first time.
Zentis is Germany's most popular food brand. This is confirmed by the independent study by Focus Money and Deutschland Test. For its intensive and uncompromising quality policy, Zentis has also been awarded the Federal Honorary Prize by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) for the second time in a row.

Zentis awards the Zentis Children's Carnival Prize every year. The company also allows free entry to the Museum Ludwig Forum near the company headquarters on Thursdays . Since April 2018, volunteers with the Aachen volunteer pass have received a 15% discount on purchases in the Zentis factory outlet. Zentis has been working closely with the Lebenshilfe Aachen association for many years. As part of marketing, the company sponsored the Alemannia Aachen sports club until 2013 .
