The central synagogue of the Orthodox community in Berlin is located at Joachimsthaler Straße 13 in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg , in the house of the Bnei Brith Jewish lodge built in 1902 .

From 1933 the Joseph Lehmann School of the Jewish Reform Congregation was housed here, and from 1939 also the 8th elementary school of the Jewish community. In 1942 the last pupils of the Joseph Lehmann School were deported .

In addition to the obligatory Sabbath and holiday services , daily morning and evening prayers are also held here.

In the basement there is a mikveh (ritual bath) that pumps the groundwater from a depth of 40 meters using a pump.

There is also a Jewish youth center and a student club here. The Central Orthodox Synagogue is the only synagogue in the unified congregation where there is daily prayer.
