The Central Museum of the Air Force of the Russian Federation in Monino is a museum complex dealing with Soviet and Russian aviation history.

The museum is located within a barracks complex about 40 km from Moscow at the former Monino airport, which was in operation from 1932 to 1956. The museum was founded here in 1958 and opened on February 23, 1960. It was initially not accessible to civilian visitors as it also showed secret exhibits that were made available by the OKBs . In 2001, however, the gates were also opened to the general public. The country's aircraft manufacturers have been supporting the museum with limited funds ever since. The museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the Military Academy of the Air Force "JA Gagarin"

The museum shows the development of Soviet aviation from the beginning until today with numerous exhibits. The outdoor area is particularly worth seeing with numerous individual items, rare prototypes and almost all types used in the Soviet Air Force . A total of about 173 aircraft and helicopters, as well as 127 engines and turbines are on display. Of these, 44 exhibits have been declared national monuments of science and technology by the Russian Academy of Sciences .
