The Central Cemetery of Montevideo ( Cementerio Central ) is one of the most important cemeteries in the state capital of Montevideo and Uruguay as a whole.

The final resting place of many prominent national figures of Uruguay, inaugurated in November 1835, is located in the Montevidean district of Barrio Sur, nestled between the Rambla República Argentina and the Avenida Gonzalo Ramirez . The Panteón can also be found here. Since 1975 the Cementerio Central has been classified as a Monumento Histórico Nacional .
