Central Hospital Loerrach

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Central Hospital Loerrach is a planned hospital of the central supply in southwestern Baden-Wuerttemberg. A number of beds of 650 and the integration of a psychiatric unit are planned. Extensive infrastructural measures are required for the construction of the hospital in the north of the city from 2020.

history

In April 2017, the Lörracher district council made the decision to bring all previous locations of the district clinics and the St. Elisabethen Hospital together under one roof and to relocate it to the Entenbad location in the north of Lörrach. After an ideas competition in December of the same year, environmental protection audits began in 2018. The results of the competition were announced in spring 2018. The first prize went to two architectural offices from Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, which submitted a design in cooperation. The central clinic will be located entirely in the Brombach district. For this purpose, the district boundary between Hauingen and Brombach will be redrawn and district areas swapped.

On April 10, 2019, documents for the planning approval procedure for relocating Landesstraße 138 West were submitted. In addition, the establishment of a separate Wiesentalbahn stop for the clinic is planned.

In January 2020 the ground-breaking ceremony took place for the relocation of the L138, which was reopened to traffic in May of the same year in a provisional route. In the summer of the same year, an adapted route of the state road was connected to the newly built roundabout and the unchanged course of the road towards Steinen.

planning

Construction is scheduled to start in summer 2020. The opening is planned for 2025. For the central clinic in Lörrach, an area of around 7 to 8 hectares is to be developed. The construction costs including medical technology are estimated at around 314 million euros (as of June 2019).
