The Center for Sports Medicine of the German Federal Armed Forces (to 2013 Sports Medicine Institute of the German Federal Armed Forces) in Warendorf is the central investigation, training and Research Center of the German Federal Armed Forces in the field of sports medicine , health care and rehabilitation.

The institute is located on the premises of the Bundeswehr sports school and has been subordinate to the Regional Medical Support Command since 2013 . In addition to specialist medical examinations, assessments, consultations and treatment of soldiers in the case of special sports medicine questions, the basic and fundamental questions of sport in the Bundeswehr from a sports medicine point of view are clarified as part of sports medicine application research .
Every year around 25 medical officers in Warendorf and the branch in Sonthofen are trained to become sports medicine specialists in close cooperation with the Bundeswehr sports school.
