Railway stations in Thuringia |
Zeulenroda unt Bf is a train station in the town of Zeulenroda-Triebes in Thuringia . In addition to the now closed upper train station, the city also has the Triebes stop .
history
The station was opened as Zeulenroda station on November 15, 1883 together with the Werdau – Weida – Mehltheuer railway. It is located in the Zeulenroda district of Untere Haardt . On September 1, 1914, the light rail to Zeulenroda was opened. There were two train stations in Zeulenroda. The previous station was renamed Zeulenroda und Bf , the new station near the city center was named Zeulenroda ob Bf .
As early as June 1, 1975, passenger traffic on the light rail was stopped, in May 1993 it was resumed before it was stopped again on June 2, 1996. Just one year later, on October 31, 1997, freight traffic on the Zeulenroda city railway ended, so that Zeulenroda and Bf became a through station again.
Although the station is in Thuringia, the lines were built by the Royal Saxon State Railways , so that the plastered brick buildings typical of Saxony were built. The nine-track station was equipped with three platforms , a two-storey reception building with a one-storey extension, a goods shed , a water tower, and a head ramp and a side ramp . Furthermore, two loading lanes were available for freight traffic .
In 1986 the water station was demolished. In 1987 the operating center received light signals and a signal box using Soviet EZMG technology. In 1996 the goods shed was torn down.
In 2008, the city acquired the station building for € 25,000. In 2010, the renovation of the station began, in the course of which the previous station building was demolished.
