Journal of History Didactics

The Zeitschrift für Geschichtsdidaktik ( ZfGD for short ) is a specialist journal dealing with historical didactic topics from school lessons and the general public. It sees itself as a forum for everyone who researches, teaches and learns about history didactics.

From 2002 to 2007 it was edited by Bernd Schönemann , Waltraud Schreiber and Hartmut Voit on behalf of the Conference for History Didactics . Since 2008 the incumbent board of directors of the conference for history didactics, currently Thomas Sandkühler as chairman u. a., the editor of the journal. The Zeitschrift für Geschichtsdidaktik has been published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht since 2010 (2002–2009 by Wochenschau-Verlag ). The ZfGD has been peer-reviewed since 2008 .

The structure of the volumes is shaped by the respective thematic focus, and there are always free thematic contributions in the forum section as well as a detailed review section representative of the previous year of publication.
