Waltraud Schreiber

Waltraud Schreiber (born March 1, 1956 in Mühldorf am Inn ) is a German history teacher and professor at the KU Eichstätt .

Life

Waltraud Schreiber studied at the LMU Munich between 1974 and 1977 the teaching post at elementary and secondary schools and between 1988 and 1995 again at the LMU Munich history, didactics of history and Bavarian regional history as part of her doctoral studies. In the meantime she worked as a teacher at elementary and secondary schools from 1977 to 1988 .

Between 1988 and 1994 she was academic advisor at the LMU Munich. A. and after receiving her doctorate in 1994, she was an academic councilor for life. 1999 followed the habilitation at the LMU with a thesis on the school reform in Hesse between 1967 and 1982. The curricular reform of the secondary level I. Focus: History in social studies .

Since 1999 she has been Professor of Theory and Didactics of History at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. In 2007 she did not accept a position at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . Since the 2007/2008 winter semester, she has been the main person in charge or coordinator for the modularized teacher training course at the KU Eichstätt ("teaching post plus").

She initiated the Comenius project FUER History Consciousness and made significant contributions to the debate about competencies in history teaching .

Since 2014 she has been a member of the board of the Federal Foundation for Coming to terms with the SED dictatorship .

Since 2010 she has been working intensively on the mBook project and founded the Institute for Digital Learning together with Marcus Ventzke and Florian Sochatzy for the production of multimedia school books .
