Wolfgang Krebs (born August 31, 1966 in Seefeld (Upper Bavaria) ) is a German cabaret artist and writer.

Life

Wolfgang Krebs' father comes from Upper Franconia, his mother from Upper Bavaria.

Krebs first appeared on stage at the age of five. School theater and home theater followed. After graduating from secondary school, he trained as a postal worker. After that, Krebs attended the secondary vocational school and changed his profession. He became studio manager at Radio Ostallgäu in Kaufbeuren and between 1996 and 2007 a senior employee in TV advertising time marketing at ProSieben and Sat.1 as well as at RTL II . Since 1988, Krebs has been involved in various radio projects as a speaker. After acting workshops in Berlin and London (Actor License), he has participated in theater performances, moderations and radio reports since 1992.

In 1993 he first appeared as Bavarian Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber at the Kaltental -Blonhofen market festival . At the Swabian carnival Schwaben weissblau 2004 an appearance by the Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber was planned, but this was prevented. Instead, on the initiative of Georg Ried, Krebs appeared as a Stoiber imitator. He then joined since January 2004 as a regular cast member Stoiber in the BR-broadcast cross on. As part of this program, he gave Stoiber interviews during the coalition negotiations in 2005 in front of a large press presence.

After Stoiber's resignation he parodied in transverse and his successor Guenther Beckstein , Horst Seehofer , and Markus Söder . In addition, he imitates numerous other prominent personalities such as Joachim Herrmann . From 2006 to July 2015, Krebs could be heard as an impersonator on Bayern 3 every day . Since 2016 he can be heard every Wednesday in the comedy series "Lachmatt" on Bayern 1 .

From 2007 he devoted himself full-time to cabaret and performed with solo programs. From 2010 to 2013, Krebs portrayed Prime Minister Horst Seehofer on the Nockherberg . In 2014, Krebs began his third solo program, Can You Bavaria? In the same year, the BR show Habe die Ehre with Chrissy Eixenberger and Wolfgang Krebs started .

On Bavarian television, Krebs has been featured in every final number on quer since 2004 . He belongs to the permanent ensemble of the Asül für Alle show with Django Asül .

Krebs wrote two specialist books, Fantastically relaxed and standing still is impossible . The fairy tale book Star Travel was published by Kontakt Musikverlag. In 2015 he published his book Nur Bayern im Kopf! in which he presents the best excerpts from his stage programs, as well as the Leberkäs AG , which was published by Rosenheimer Verlag.
