Zhai Mo

Zhai Mo ( Chinese  翟 墨 , Pinyin Zhái Mò ; born March 27, 1996 in Hebei ) is a Chinese chess player .

Zhai Mo achieved her first international success as a student. In 2008 she became world champion in the U12 female group. Two years earlier she had taken third place in the U10 female class. In 2018 she won the Chinese Women's Individual Championship. In 2017 (eliminated in the first round) and 2018 (reached the second round) she took part in the women's world chess championship .

As a member of the Chinese women's national team, she and the team won gold medals at the 2018 Asian Team Championship and the 2018 Chess Olympiad . At the Asian Women's Team Championship 2012, Zhai Mo played on the top board of China's non-competitive C selection. At the Chinese team championship in 2007 she played for the Qingdao team, from 2009 to 2015 and again in 2017 for the Hebei team and in 2016 for Shandong.

In January 2013 she received the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) and has been the Women's Grand Master (WGM) since December 2015 . Her Elo rating is 2366 (as of March 2020), her highest rating to date was 2406 in August 2015.
