Zhao Yongbo

Zhao Yongbo ( Chinese  赵永 勃 , Pinyin Zhào Yǒngbó , * 1964 in the Hailong Community (海龙 镇), Meihekou City , Jilin Province in the northeast of the People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese artist . He lives as a freelance painter with his wife and children in Krailling .

Life

Zhao Yongbo was born in 1964 in Hailong Town, Jilin Province. This is in Manchuria, in the northeast of the People's Republic of China . From 1982 to 1986 he studied painting at the Northeast China Pedagogical University in Changchun , the capital of Jilin Province. From 1986 to 1991 he lectured on occidental painting and art history. He graduated as a master class student in 1998 after studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Robin Page . Since then he has been living as a freelance artist in Munich and China, where he has also received professorships.

Awards

In 1987 he was awarded the "All China Art Exhibition" first prize at the Beijing Art Museum. In 1990 he was included in the "Great Lexicon of Contemporary Chinese Artists".

Exhibitions

Since 1990 solo exhibitions and exhibition participation in galleries and museums in Germany, including Cubus Kunsthalle , Duisburg; Erotic Art Museum, Hamburg; House of Art , Munich; Museum Galgenhaus , Stadtmuseum Berlin Foundation, Berlin.
