Gottfried Knapp

Gottfried Knapp (* 1942 in Stuttgart ) is a German art critic and author .

Live and act

Gottfried Knapp studied at the Universities of Tübingen and Munich . In 1972 he was in Munich with the work grotesque, fantasy, humor and the emergence of polyphonic writing in Achim von Arnim's narrative poetry Dr. phil. PhD . He then worked initially as a freelance author and since 1974 as a feature writer, art critic and editor for architecture for the Süddeutsche Zeitung in Munich.

Gottfried Knapp has been a full member of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts since 2009 .

Gottfried Knapp has written over 100 essays and monographic texts on topics of architecture, urban planning and the visual arts and has published several books. In 1995 he wrote the screenplay for the cartoon Ludwig & Richard , which was directed by Dieter Olaf Klama .
