Chinese People's Liberation Army military anthem

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (Zhongguo Renmin Jiefangjun Junge) military anthem, also known as the March of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (Zhongguo Renmin Jiefang Jinxingqu), is a patriotic song in the People's Republic of China composed in Yan'an in the fall of 1939 . His text comes from Gong Mu (real name Zhang Yongnian ) and the music was composed by Zheng Lücheng .

The previous name was March of the Eighth Marching Army (Balujun Jinxingqu), and it was one of the six songs in the Eighth Marching Army cantata (Balujun Dahechang), all of which were written by Gong Mu and composed by Zheng Lücheng. The song was also known as "March of the Liberation Army" (Jiefangjun Jixingqu) during the Chinese Civil War . The text was reissued by the Political Headquarters in 1951 and the song was renamed March of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in 1965 .

On July 25, 1988, the Central Military Commission decided to use the song as the official anthem of the People's Liberation Army .
