Zhu Yingwen

Zhu Yingwen , 朱 颖 文, Zhū Yíngwén, (born September 9, 1981 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese freestyle swimmer . Her greatest success was the silver medal in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens . Zhu Yingwen was part of the Chinese roster for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .

Career

Zhu Yingwen took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens . There she won the silver medal with the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay. In addition, Zhu Yingwen was able to achieve fourth place with the 4 × 100-meter relay and eighth with the 4 × 100-meter freestyle relay. She also started over the 50 meter freestyle, but did not get past the lead with a time of 26.45 seconds. At the 2005 World Swimming Championships in Montreal , she won bronze over the 50 meter freestyle in 24.91 seconds and with the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay. With the 4 × 100-meter relay relay, Zhu Yingwen was able to place himself in fourth place, with the 4 × 100-meter freestyle relay in sixth place. Two years later, at the 2007 World Swimming Championships in Melbourne , she reached seventh place with the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay. In the run-up to the 50 meter freestyle, Zhu Yingwen was disqualified. She was a member of the Chinese team for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , where she competed in the 50 and 100 meter freestyle.
