The Lindley mentcelia ( Mentzelia lindleyi ) is a species of the genus Mentzelia in the nettle family (Loasaceae).

features

The Lindley mentcelia is an annual plant that reaches heights of 15 to 60 centimeters. There are 2 to 3 (4) flowers on each stem . They open in the evening. The 5 petals are golden yellow with an orange-red background, obovate to almost ovoid, pointed and 2 to 4 centimeters long.

Flowering time is from July to August.

Occurrence

The Lindley mentcelia is found on sunny rocky slopes in California.
