The monastery Naundorf was 1250-1531 a monastery of Cistercian nuns in the monastery Naundorf , City Allstedt , in Saxony-Anhalt .
history
The Counts of Querfurt founded a nunnery between Allstedt and Wolferstedt around 1250 , which lived according to the Cistercian rule. It was under the supervision of Walkenried Monastery and was represented externally by a provost . In 1525 the monastery was looted during the Peasant Wars. The sisters fled to the Marienkammer (Glaucha) monastery . In 1531 the convent was dissolved. Abbess Sophia von Schafstädt went to the Kölleda monastery . Today the place is an agricultural enterprise. One building dates back to the monastery era.
