Abū Muhammad Ziyādat Allaah I. ibn Ibrāhīm ( Arabic أبو محمد زيادة الله بن إبراهيم, DMG Abū Muḥammad Ziyādat Allāh b. Ibrāhīm ; † 838 ) was the third emir of the Aghlabids in Ifriqiya (817–838).

Abū Muhammad Ziyādat Allah I succeeded his brother ʿAbdallāh I (812-817) on the throne in Ifrīqiya . Under him, relations between the Aghlabids on the one hand and the legal scholars and Arab troops on the other remained strained. When Ziyādat Allaah I wanted to enforce the dissolution of the Arab militias, this led to a great uprising around Tunis (824-836). This revolt could not be put down until 836 with the help of the Berber tribes .

Before that, however, Ziyādat Allaah I had already begun to divert the troubled Arab militias through campaigns in Italy . So began in 827 under the command of the legal scholar Asad ibn al-Furat, the conquest of Byzantine Sicily , initially under the guise of arms aid for the rebel Euphemios . Although the troops could be defeated by Byzantium , the conquest of Palermo did not succeed until 831. Due to the power struggles in Italy, however, further opportunities for conquests and raids soon arose. So the Muslims were called to help by the Duke of Naples in 835 , were able to set up bases in southern Italy and begin far-reaching raids against the Christians.

Despite the political unrest, the economic prosperity of the empire made extensive construction possible. The mosque of ʿUqba ibn Nāfiʿ in Kairouan was extensively renovated and expanded, and several city fortifications were built. After the death of Ziyādat Allah I, his brother Abū ʿIqāl (838–841) became the emir of the Aghlabids.
