Zoe Gwen Scandalis (born September 21, 1993 ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Scandalis, who started playing tennis at the age of five, prefers the hard court for her game . She mainly competes in tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has won five double titles so far.

Her first ITF tournament she played in Albuquerque in early September 2008 , where she failed in the first round. She celebrated her first match win in November 2008 in San Diego . On the WTA Tour she reached the main round of the $ 721,000 premier tournament Mercury Insurance Open in Carlsbad in 2011 as a qualifier , in which she lost 6-06 and 6-06 in the first round to her compatriot Christina McHale . Successes in the individual have been largely absent so far. She won her first double title in New Orleans in July 2012 .
