Zomergem is a district of the Belgian municipality of Lievegem in the Flanders region with 8,466 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2018). Until January 1, 2019, Zomergem was an independent municipality with the eponymous main town and the two districts of Oostwinkel and Ronsele .

Eeklo is seven kilometers north, Ghent 14 km southwest, Bruges 25 km northwest, Antwerp 60 km northeast and Brussels about 63 km southeast.

The next motorway exits are at Nevele and Aalter on the A10 / E 40 .

In Hansbeke , Landegem , Waarschoot are the next and Aalter regional stations and in Ghent and Bruges keep on regional express trains.

In Ostend and Antwerp is regional airports and near the capital Brussels is an international airport.
