Guild tree
A guild tree of craft shows Zunftzeichen certain guilds of the respective location or region. It serves on the one hand to maintain tradition and on the other hand to cultivate the image of the respective craft.
Guild trees were first erected in Westphalia at the end of the 16th century . Today they can be found again in many places.
