The Twelve Apostles Church is a Protestant church in Frankenthal (Palatinate) .

The classicist church building was built from 1820 to 1823 according to plans by Weinbrenner's student and government building officer Johann Philipp Mattlener , badly hit in World War II , but rebuilt. The burnt-out spire was changed. Mattlener had integrated the historic tower of the Erkenbert ruin into the new tower. The Twelve Apostles Church still has the tallest church tower in the city. During the reconstruction, the interior was also completely redesigned: Twelve oval columns were built into the rectangular hall structure, which support the ceiling, galleries, pulpit and organ and thus contribute to a different spatial impression than would be expected from the outside.

Details such as the portico in front of the entrance are reminiscent of Weinbrenner's Evangelical City Church in Karlsruhe, which was inaugurated in 1816 .

To the west of it are the Frankenthal town hall, the Erkenbert ruins and the baroque Trinity Church . These two churches are the most famous in the city.
