The dwarf snails ( Sadleriana ) are a genus of small freshwater snails from the family of the water snails (Hydrobiidae).

distribution

The species of the genus live in springs and streams or small rivers with clear, clean water, less often in caves or in the groundwater . The distribution ranges from Northern Italy through Slovenia and Croatia to Bosnia-Herzegovina . One species occurs very locally in Germany (Munich), another locally in Bulgaria .

species

Seven species with two subspecies are recognized. Due to the difficult differentiation between the individual species, which is mainly based on the genital organs or by sequencing the DNA , new, previously undescribed species may still be expected.
