The Zwillingkogel is 2184 m above sea level. A. high, double peaked mountain in the Dead Mountains in Upper Austria . Facing the Hetzau valley is the very steep west wall, which is partly made of brittle rock. A short ridge leads south to the cross . The ridge of the Gaiskarmauer leads to the northeast. To the east the mountain drops steeply into the Haselbauerkar. The frequently visited summit can be reached from the Welser Hut and offers a beautiful panoramic view. At the summit there is a cassette with a summit book .
Ascent
There is no marked ascent to the summit. The normal route follows route 215 to the Welser Hut and across the cross to the north to the main summit.
