The one-armed bandit (French: Le bandit manchot ) is an album from the Lucky Luke comic series . It was drawn by Morris and written by Bob de Groot and first appeared in 1981. In this story, the brothers Adolphe and Arthur Caille first introduce their Black Cat slot machine .

To test a newly invented slot machine called Black Cat , the brothers Adolphe and Arthur Caille travel together with Lucky Luke through various cities in the wild west. The mood is euphoric everywhere because of the new invention, there are numerous orders and even previous opponents can be changed. After a successful mission, the brothers only want to test out a sleepy town, the little town of Las Vegas .

The story was first published in 1981 in Télé-Junior magazine and then as an album by Dargaud .

In 1982 the story was published in German as an album by Ehapa (volume 33).

The story was filmed in 1991 for the Lucky Luke animated series.
