Fritz Neuser

Friedrich "Fritz" Neuser (born April 14, 1932 in Nuremberg ) is a former German racing cyclist , motor sportsman and car dealer.

Fritz Neuser, whose father was killed in World War II , started cycling at the age of 15. During his apprenticeship as a radio technician , he registered with the Nuremberg club RC Herpersdorf . At German youth championships he was fourth both on the track and on the road . In the following years he won a total of eleven German championship titles: in 1951 as a road driver with the team of his club, the 100-kilometer team time trial , then as a track driver in 1952 and 1953 with Franz Knößlsdorfer , in 1954 and 1955 with Werner Löw , each in a tandem race, and 1954 in the one and five titles in the team pursuit . In 1956 he started together with Günther Ziegler at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in the tandem discipline . After the duo the first round against the silver medalist in 1952 from South Africa , Tommy Shardelow and Raymond Robinson had lost, it crashed in the repechage heavy, and both drivers had to be hospitalized. In 1957 Neuser ended his cycling career, which he had pursued as an amateur without exception , after 337 victories in 420 national and international races.

For his sporting success he received the silver laurel leaf on January 12, 1952 .

Neuser started out working as a car salesman. After just one year, he was Germany's most successful Goggomobil seller . In 1962 he founded his own car dealership. He also drove car races himself: 68 mountain and circuit races , of which he won 52. He also had his own racing team , the Scuderia Autohaus-Neuser Nürnberg . From 1979 to 2003 he was one of the most renowned German Ferrari dealers. Fritz Neuser has specialized in trading classic cars since 2005 and has his own collection of these cars.
