George Chester Robinson Wagoner

George Chester Robinson Wagoner (born September 3, 1863 in Cincinnati , Ohio , †  April 27, 1946 in St. Louis , Missouri ) was an American politician . In February and March 1903 he represented the state of Missouri in the US House of Representatives for a few days .

Career

George Wagoner attended public schools in his home country and then Beaumont Hospital Medical College in St. Louis. He then worked as a funeral director. In this capacity he headed the company Wagoner Undertaking Co. He was also on the board of directors of H. H. Wagoner Realty Co.

Politically, Wagoner was a member of the Republican Party . In 1902, after an election challenge in Missouri's twelfth congressional district, by-elections were held. James Joseph Butler , who was elected in 1900, was confirmed again. His opponent was George Wagoner, who appealed against the result. When this was granted, he was able to exercise his mandate between February 26 and March 3, 1903. After leaving the US House of Representatives, Wagoner continued his previous business activities. Politically, he no longer appeared. He died in St. Louis on April 27, 1946.
