The Honda Shuttle was a van from the car and engine manufacturer Honda . Originally it was a van based on the Honda Civic , which was first launched in 1983 as the Honda Civic Shuttle . With the introduction of the 5th generation, the export of the Honda Civic Shuttle to Europe was discontinued and it was not until 1995 that Honda served the segment in Europe again with the Honda Shuttle. In 2000 he was replaced by the Honda Stream .

The shuttle was larger than its predecessor, the Civic Shuttle. The model was a Honda Odyssey 1, which was manufactured on the basis of the Honda Accord and offered worldwide. In contrast to the Odyssey, the shuttle was only available with a 2.2 liter 150 hp petrol engine (later years: 2.3 liters) in conjunction with a 4-speed automatic transmission . The model was available in the equipment variants ES and LS. All-wheel drive was also available as an option. While the sister model was very successful in Asia , success in the rest of the world was modest. In Europe there was a lack of manual transmissions and, above all, diesel engines . In the USA, the Odyssey1 (Shuttle) was too small for the van market there, whereupon Honda launched the Honda Odyssey (North America) in 1999 . While a further developed Odyssey1 (shuttle) was also launched in Asia and Oceania in 1999 , the shuttle continued to be built until 2000, as Honda was still producing the model for Isuzu as Isuzu Oasis . The successor to the Shuttle was the Honda Stream introduced in 2001 , which in turn was developed on the basis of the Honda Civic.
