Marco Albarello (born May 31, 1960 in Aosta ) is a former Italian cross-country skier .

He was one of the best cross-country skiers ever in the late 1980s and 1990s. So he became world champion over 15 kilometers at the world championship in 1987 . At the Olympic Games in 1994 he won the gold medal together with the Italian relay in front of the favored Norwegians.

After completing his active athlete career, Albarello is sergeant in the sports promotion group of the Italian Alpini . There he was in charge of the Nordic disciplines. Subsequently, he was the technical director of the Italian national cross-country team until May 2007. His athletes have achieved many successes (see Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin )
