The Marina Rünthe is a yacht harbor on the Datteln-Hamm Canal in Bergkamen .

The marina is located on canal kilometer 23 and was built in 1939 as a loading port for the Werne colliery . After the mine was closed, Klöckner Bergbau Königsborn-Werne AG continued to use the port as a factory port, handling hard coal, building materials, grain and mineral oils.

In 1995 it was converted into a leisure area and the area was converted into a marina . The marina has 286 berths for sports boats of all sizes. The water area is 41,500 m², the land area 13,000 m².

In its year-round service operation, the largest sports boat harbor in North Rhine-Westphalia offers typical service facilities such as a petrol station (diesel and super), washing area, crane system (up to 16 tons) and repair yard, as well as a boat slip system for trailer teams, a hotel and various catering establishments, two of which are independent sanitary buildings , several boating schools, guest and fenced parking spaces, green areas and a promenade along the harbor basin. Excursions with the Santa Monika take place regularly . There have been annual harbor festivals since 1998 with up to 60,000 visitors. As part of regattas of the NRW Trophy, points for the match race world rankings were achieved here until 2009.

The light art installation "PulsLicht" by the artist Mischa Kuball has existed since 2007, and its 8 meter high lights ensure sufficient brightness on the paths. Computer-controlled light pulsates in different patterns.

The Marina Rünthe is part of the Route of Industrial Culture . The Roman route from Xanten to Detmold leads past the marina . The Beversee is located in the adjacent nature park . From the heap of large wood you have a good view of the marina.
