The pilot Engine & Friction Cars Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer based in London from 1910 to 1913. The company was founded as Motor Schools Ltd.

In keeping with the original orientation as a driving school , the cars were tailored to the needs of learner drivers. Seven different models with one and four cylinder engines were created, all of which were water-cooled. The engine power was passed on to the rear axle via friction gear .
