Thornton Engineering Company , previously Bradford Motor Car Company , was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The Bradford Motor Car Company of Bradford began manufacturing automobiles in 1904. The brand name was Celtic . Distribution was limited to the area. In 1907 the name was changed to Thornton Engineering Company . Production ended in 1908. A total of eight vehicles were built.

Brand name Celtic
The company used built-in motors from different manufacturers. In four cases the engine came from Aster , in three cases from White & Poppe and in one case from Mutel . All engines were four-cylinder engines . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle by means of a cardan shaft .
Brand name Teco
In 1905, the company presented a unique vehicle with the brand name Teco . A Louis Bailleul engine powered the vehicle. Another source states that the company imported complete vehicles from Bailleul and sold them as Teco .
