In 1992 the rank of bishop of Katowice was upgraded to that of an archbishop, as the diocese became an archidiocese. Thus Archbishop Zimoń is the first Archbishop of Katowice.

Arena

The David O. McKay Events Center is a 8,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Orem, Utah. It was built in 1996 and is home to the Utah Valley Wolverines basketball team. It is the home of Utah Jazz's NBA Development League affiliate team, the Utah Flash.

The arena was also home of the now-defunct indoor football team, the Utah Catzz.
