The 2008 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament was a tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the 35th edition of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, and was part of the International Series Gold of the 2008 ATP Tour. It took place at the Ahoy Rotterdam indoor sporting arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from February 18 through February 24, 2008.
The field featured ATP No. 2 and recent Australian Open semifinalist Rafael Nadal, 2007 Moscow winner Nikolay Davydenko, and 2007 Tennis Masters Cup runner-up and Australian Open quarterfinalist David Ferrer. Also present competing were Chennai titlist Mikhail Youzhny, 2007 Tokyo semifinalist Tomas Berdych, Andy Murray, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Marcos Baghdatis.
2008 Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic was set to play but was forced to withdraw due to influenza.Cite error: The <ref>

Dutch media outlets have talked of the "Richard Krajicek effect". However, despite the relatively strong field on display, no seed remained by the quarterfinals, for the first time in the history of the tournaments and the third only in ATP Tour history since 2000.Cite error: The <ref>
