The Ahoy Rotterdam , venue of the tournament

The international tennis tournament ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament has been an ATP tournament that has been held in Rotterdam , the Netherlands, since 1972 . The tournament is currently part of the ATP Tour 500 , the second highest category on the ATP Tour .

German-speaking players who won the tournament are Heinz Günthardt (1980), Jakob Hlasek (1989), Boris Becker (1992), Michael Stich (1994) and Roger Federer (2005, 2012, 2018). Stan Wawrinka (2015) also won for Switzerland . The last winner from the Netherlands was Jan Siemerink in 1998. Arthur Ashe and Roger Federer are record winners of the tournament with three titles . In doubles, Nenad Zimonjić and Anders Järryd each won four times.

The indoor tournament now takes place in February and lasts for a week. It is played on hard court at Ahoy Rotterdam , the tournament director is Richard Krajicek .
