The Singapore ATP tournament (officially the Singapore Open , most recently Heineken Open Singapore ) is a former men's tennis tournament in Singapore . The competition was held a total of eight times between 1989 and 1999 and was part of the ATP International Series Gold from 1997 to 1999 . The game was played on outdoor hard courts from 1989 to 1992 and on indoor carpets from 1996 to 1998; last year they played hard court again. The venue was the National Stadium , one of the largest sports facilities in Singapore.

In singles, Kelly Jones and Marcelo Ríos were the most successful with two titles, in doubles the "Woodies" Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde are the record players with three tournament wins.
