Sonny Anderson da Silva Nilmar (born september 19, 1970 in Goiatuba) is a football (soccer) player from Brazil. He played as a forward for Olympique de Marseille, AS Monaco, FC Barcelona and Olympique Lyonnais where he became a "legend" of the club with which he never ceased to keep contacts and where he is employed as a coach now that his playing career is over. He is considered to be the origin of the "Brazilian Connection" at Olympique Lyonnais.

He now coaches the strikers at Olympique Lyonnais.

Honours

He was the top scorer of the Swiss Super League in 1993, French Ligue 1 Championship in 1996, 2000 and 2001 and Qatari League 2005.
