Josué Edmond Blocus (born November 20, 1969 in Saint-Claude, Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe) is a French heavyweight boxer who competed in the 1996 Olympics.

Amateur

Blocus is a black Frenchman whose family is from Guadeloupe. European Championships in Vejle 1996, Denmark he beat Zoran Manojlovic (Yugoslavia) WDQ 2 but lost to Serguei Lyakhovich (Belarus) on points.

At the Olympics in Atlanta he fought at superheavyweight and beat Jesús Guevara, Venezuela, RSC-2 (02:13) but was stopped in the second round by big-punching Adaliat Marnedov, Azerbaijan by RSC-1 (02:11).

Pro

He turned pro in 1997 showing big power in 6 early wins among others over durable Sedreck Fields (KO1). But he became rather inactive, fighting only five times over the next five years before getting outpointed in 2002 by Friday Ahunanya and even KOd by clubfighter Guerrero (record 15-6). In 2007 at age 37 he rebounded and scored the biggest win of his pro career beating Canadian champ David Cadieux on the road.
