Jonathan E. Silverman (born August 5, 1966 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, perhaps best known for his roles in the TV series Gimme A Break!, as well as in the films Brighton Beach Memoirs (a film version of the first play of Neil Simon's Eugene Trilogy), Caddyshack II, and Weekend at Bernie's.

Jonathan Silverman also played the title role in the short-lived mid-1990s television sitcom The Single Guy, which aired on NBC. He also appeared on CSI: Miami (in a 3rd season episode called "Under the Influence"). He stars in a new sitcom, In Case of Emergency which is scheduled as a mid-season replacement on ABC for 2006.

Jonathan is engaged to actress Jennifer Finnigan who has appeared in the series The Bold and the Beautiful and Close to Home.

Grandfather is the world-famous Rabbi Morris Silverman.

Attended the same High School as Angelina Jolie, Michael Klesic, Nicolas Cage, Lenny Kravitz, David Schwimmer, Gina Gershon, Rhonda Fleming, Jackie Cooper, Rob Reiner, Antonio Sabato Jr., Pauly Shore, Michael Tolkin, Betty White, Corbin Bernsen, Elizabeth Daily, Albert Brooks and Crispin Glover.
