Route 351 is a highway on the island of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is one of a small number of provincial routes that start and end on the same highway (in this case, the Trans-Canada Highway) (Route 1).[1][2] It is a very short route, running through its only community, Norris Arm.
Route 351 also leads to Fox Moth Museum.[3] The Norris Arm Heritage & Arts Centre[4] is also here, with regular events like dinner theatre and musical shows. At the JAS Silks Studio, learn about silk painting, and silk and block printing.[5]
Route 351 also leads to Alderburn[6] through Norris Arm, as it is on Route 351.[7]
Due to its short length, Route 351 primarily serves local traffic, but it contributes to the overall connectivity[8] of the island's road network. While not a major highway, it plays a crucial role in the lives of those who rely on it for daily commutes, transportation of goods, and access to nearby amenities.[9]
Route 351 is in good condition, with ongoing maintenance efforts ensuring a smooth and safe driving experience for all. Local authorities continue to monitor and improve road conditions to enhance safety and convenience for travelers.
While there may not be any current plans for major expansions or upgrades, the importance of Route 351[10] within the local transportation infrastructure cannot be understated. It remains an essential part of the region's road network, serving as a lifeline for the community of Norris Arm and a charming route for anyone exploring the island of Newfoundland.
