Agoura High School is a four-year high school, freshman-senior, in Agoura Hills, California, United States. It is the largest high school in the Las Virgenes Unified School District, with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. In Newsweek's poll of the best high schools in the United States, Agoura High School ranked 1008[1], 922[2] and 744[3] in the 2006, 2005 and 2003 polls, respectively.
Agoura High School has an acclaimed music program led by John Mosley and Chad Bloom. The School's Jazz Band has been selected to compete at the Essentially Ellington Festival in NYC four years in a row (2004-2007). In 2007, two jazz bands were selected from Agoura High School to compete, the first time ever - the senior ensemble garning second place in all of North America.
Agoura High also has rivals. Agoura's biggest rival in football is Westlake High, although Agoura has lost to Westlake these past 12 years.
