"EBay"
Song

"eBay" is a song and radio-only single by "Weird Al" Yankovic. It is a parody of "I Want It That Way" by The Backstreet Boys. In it, the narrator describes how often he purchases items on eBay.

Release

"eBay" was never intended to be released as a single (whether in a radio-only, commercial, or promo format), but after the post-Christmas quirks of 2006, it debuted as #15 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles[1], #115 on the Billboard Hot 100 (This was most likely due to on-line sales through stores such as iTunes and Rhapsody).[citation needed] This was similar to Yankovic's later single "Canadian Idiot."[citation needed]

Music video

The song "eBay" was actually performed live at eBay Live! 2003. A portion of this performance can be seen at the beginning of the CNBC documentary The eBay Effect: Inside a Worldwide Obsession. Though no official video was produced, it has inspired the creation of numerous user-generated videos, usually featuring slides of the items mentioned.

Items bid on

The following are items bought or bid on in the song, in the order they are featured in the lyrics:

Searching for these items on eBay will often result in other items from the song appearing in "related searches".
